3rd/4th Grade Boys
Based on the numbers of boys who sign up, there will be distinct levels of teams.

All teams will practice 2 times a week, play 8-10 games a season and ~2-3 jamborees.  Paid coaches will be selected before the tryouts are held.  Parent assistant coaches will be selected once the teams are made.

All teams receive NRG Lax training

Orange Team:  Competitive Team made up of boys that can confidently catch and throw and have a foundational level of lacrosse offenses and defenses.  Practices are mandatory and are focused on stickwork and developing a high-level of lacrosse IQ.  If a boy misses more than 3 events during the season (exception is religious activity, school event, or illness), they may be moved down a level and their spot is taken by a member of the Blue team.   This will be at the coaches’ and board’s discretion depending on the situation.

Playing time in aggregate for the season should be ~40% for each player that contributes positively to the culture of the team.  This means that some players will play close to 100% of the game and others will play the minimum amount.

Blue Team:  More balanced teams made up of boys with varying levels of talent.  Practices will focus on developmental stick work and beginnings of running offensive and defensive schemes.  Practices are not mandatory but strongly advised to attend.

Playing time in each game shall be greater than 50% for each game for each player that contributes positively to the culture of the team.  This means that some players will play close to 100% of the game and others will play the minimum amount.

Uniforms are required and are not included in the registration fee, practice pinnies are provided.

7th/8th Grade Boys
The goal with the 7th/8th grade program is to minimize conflicts with the Modified programs provided through the Chappaqua School District.  All practices will be twice a week and home games will be on Saturday mornings.  There will be ~9 games and ~2-3 jamborees.

~22 boys will be selected for the team.  If numbers allow (~18), a 2nd team will be created. If there aren’t numbers to support a 2nd team, the players will be recommended to strictly play Modified.

For all boys in grades 7th and 8th that choose to just play Modified, there will be an option available to play in fall practices only.

There is no requirement placed on the coach for playing time.

Uniforms are required and are not included in the registration fee, practice pinnies are provided.
